I’m all for painting walls or adding wallpaper, but not everyone is in love with the idea of having to put in the time to paint or just simply not wanting to paint their home. From small décor pieces to accent items, there are many ways to enhance your home without making a project out of it, and here’s how:

Light is one of the most important things to have in a home, and “dressing up” your light source would be an ideal way to enhance any area. Swap a basic ceiling light for an elegant chandelier or add sconces to your wall. You can also replace your lamp shade and make this an accent to your living room or bedroom.

Believe it or not, door and/or cabinet hinges can change the look of your home. If you’ve decided to add decorative hinges on the doors of your television stand or changed the door hinges to your bedroom and bathroom doors, it would instantly enhance or change the look of your home. For example, the below hinges can turn your cabinets, or doors from traditional to antique, but of course, you can choose any type of hinges that fit your design style.

Before your guests enter your home, they will automatically be able to tell what type of design style your home evokes just by the door handle. Changing the door handles on each door of your home will subtly make a statement. You can easily change your interior from Contemporary to Farmhouse with a simple doorknob switch.

Unique knobs such as these will instantly enhance your home! If you live in an apartment and aren’t allowed to paint your walls or make major changes to your living space, swapping out your plastic or basic metal knobs on kitchen or bathroom cabinets can bring personality to these spaces.

Curtains and/or blinds with color or design would be a perfect way to create a different atmosphere in the living space. If you have all-white walls, try wooden blinds for an organic look, or colorful printed curtains to accent the living space. Roman shades
Curtain tiebacks and a unique curtain rod are also wonderful ways to subtly improve the look of your home.
Painted Window Frame
Now, this may not be apartment friendly, and I did mention that some may not want to paint but painting your window frames is a great way to subtly bring character to your living space. Instead of painting an entire wall as an accent, try painting your window frames!

Because this is for everyday use, I’m quite surprised that isn’t talked about more. Elegant outlet wall plates will instantly enhance your walls no matter what color your walls are; this is also a great opportunity to add a splash of color to your living space if you have a bare wall with a lot of outlets.
Art.
I think it’s safe to say that filling your walls with artwork is one of the best ways to bring life to your walls without paint. Large paintings that cover the entire wall or several small paintings to form a gallery wall will always be ideal. These beautiful art prints can be found in ‘The Shop’.

If you have a Wi-Fi cable box or smart device such as an Alexa that it out in the open and doesn’t quite match your décor style or color scheme; try finding a cute way to hide it in plain sight!
TV Decorative Frame

It’s quite common that most home décor pictures do not include the television when showcasing the living room or bedroom, and that’s because most of the time……it just doesn’t fit in with the style that is being showcased. If you’re having this problem, and wondering how to do something with your television, try adding a television frame that matches your interior style.
